District 16 Intergroup
The District 16 Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous is a service body and shall protect and respect the autonomy and privilege of dissent of any AA group in the District. The Intergroup shall be ever mindful of the ideals expressed in the Twelve Steps, the Twelve Traditions, the Twelve Concepts for World Service, and the AA Service Manual. The primary purpose of the District 16 Intergroup shall be to coordinate the efforts of all District 16 groups in order to effectively carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to the still suffering alcoholic and to the professionals who come into contact with alcoholics. The Intergroup shall encourage all District groups to participate in the business of the Intergroup and it's efforts to cooperate with District 16, the Virginia Area Committee, and the General Service Office of AA World Services. 
The Intergroup meets on the second Wednesday of every month at the Tri-City Club
